What is Microblading?
In simple words, microblading is a type of tattooing. It differs from the usual tattooing in the sense that it implants a pigment under your skin with the help of a manual handheld tool instead of a machine. Microblading is a semi-permanent treatment commonly used for creating the perfect brows. It draws hair-like strokes to mimic the natural eyebrow hair, by using a small tool with tiny needles.
Microblading is the solution for anyone who has no brows, very light brows, damaged brows due to alopecia or just needs to fill in the arches to improve appearance. It gives a more defined and a groomed look even with no makeup on.
How Does It Work?
A pigment is implanted into the epidermis or the upper layer of the skin. This procedure is less painful than traditional tattooing. The level of pain is considered to be somewhat similar to what you experience while getting eyebrows threaded. With the use of an anaesthetic (which most good technicians use), it is quite bearable. The ink it uses is mineral based and the results are not permanent. The technician takes six measurements on the brow bone to make out the perfect shape for the brows. The complete procedure takes around an hour and a half to two hours. At least one touch up is needed to get the perfect result. The healing process is not very long. However, the actual results won’t show till after a few weeks of getting the treatment done. This is because of the way skin heals naturally.
Microblading is one of the many brow treatments available out there. It is a longer lasting solution to drawing your brows every day. Microblading is an investment which gives you fuller and natural looking brows. It is a work of art which gives an ultimate frame to your face and gives you a confidence boost.
